Ian Gardner is a digital communicator and strategist at Marathon Strategies. In his role, he analyzes social conversations, identifies key audiences, and helps clients cut through the noise using social listening.
Before joining Marathon, Ian led communications for a frontline member of Congress from the Pacific Northwest, worked at a leading market research firm specializing in social listening, and supported grassroots advocacy campaigns across North Carolina. Ian also serves as communications director for a North Carolina-based organization focused on strengthening civic engagement and supporting state-level leadership, where he leads their overall communications efforts.
Ian holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and data science from American University, bringing a unique blend of communication expertise and data-driven insights to deliver key takeaways for clients.
