Marathon Nominated for 5 Reed Awards
Marathon Strategies has been nominated for an incredible five Reed Awards by Campaign and Elections, including as a finalist for Public Affairs Firm of the Year!
The nomination follows a milestone year for Marathon’s public affairs practice.
We worked to raise awareness of changes in the annual income reporting threshold for online sales with the Coalition for 1099-K Fairness, a campaign that resulted in the introduction of multiple pieces of bipartisan legislation that would return the reporting threshold to a more reasonable amount.
Marathon worked alongside FMI – The Food Industry Association to educate media and other stakeholders on the reasons behind the rising cost of groceries amid record inflation. And, partnering with Buy Safe America, we supported their successful advocacy for legislation protecting consumers from stolen and counterfeit goods online.
In short, we tackled big issues that yielded meaningful results – and these are just a few examples.
Marathon was previously honored with a Reed award for Public Affairs Firm of the Year in 2021. The continued recognition by Campaign and Elections speaks volumes about our dedication to excellence in the field.
Our firm also received several other nominations, underscoring our commitment to innovative strategies and impactful outcomes:
- Best Online Video for Public Affairs Campaign or Issue Advocacy: Collaborative for Student Success
- Best Microsite: Corporate Verdicts Go Thermonuclear (Marathon’s report on the rise of jury verdicts against corporations)
- Best Online Video, Longform: American Land Title Association: Illustrating The Impact Of Just One Grant
- Best Rebrand by a Firm, Organization, or Campaign: American Land Title Association: Launching ALTA’s New Brand Identity
These nominations are a testament to the hard work and creativity of our team. We extend our gratitude to our clients for their trust and collaboration, and to our dedicated staff who continually strive to achieve excellence.
