Jim Scott Polsinelli – Chief Creative Officer
The best ideas are usually the ones that are the simplest. That philosophy has been Jim Scott’s north star for his 20+ year career in the advertising industry. And that belief is how he’s shaping the creative work for Marathon.
Never one to shy away from tackling tough communications problems, Jim Scott believes what clients need and want are issues that are explained clearly, cleverly, persuasively, visually, and emotionally. One of the best ways to do that is by creating stories that connect with people’s hearts and minds.
During his career, he’s raised awareness, changed perceptions, moved products, won ballot initiatives, and received awards for America’s top brands and associations for clients like AARP, American Express, American Gas Association, American Petroleum Institute, Biogen, CDC, Chevron, Dell, GM, HPE, IBM, Jaguar, Lily, Merck, National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, P&G, T-Mobile, and WaltDisneyWorld. As an agency-trained copywriter, Jim Scott has held creative director positions at Porter Novelli, Ogilvy, Wunderman, and Booz Allen Hamilton. Most recently, at DDC Public Affairs, his work helped defeat the Border Adjustment Tax while earning PR Week’s 2018 top crisis campaign of the year.
