Marathon Named To City & State Political PR Power 50
To say that working as a PR professional in 2021 was “eventful” would be the understatement of the year.
That’s why we are particularly proud that Marathon’s New York practice was included in this year’s City & State Political PR Power 50, which celebrates the state’s top public relations professionals. Marathon’s work impacted policy from upstate to downstate.
Some of our projects that stand out include supporting the New York Medical Cannabis Industry Association in its hard-fought victory to legalize recreational cannabis in New York and to expand access to life-changing products for medical cannabis patients.
We also helped the United for Housing Coalition secure a historic promise from all eight leading New York City mayoral candidates – including Mayor Eric Adams – to double the city’s capital spending on housing to $4 billion if elected.
Securing an additional year of state funding for the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative through our work with the Supportive Housing Network of New York was another highlight.
We’re grateful for this recognition and are looking forward to all the challenges and opportunities 2022 has in store for us.
