Marathon Wins Reed Award for Public Affairs Firm of the Year
Marathon Strategies is proud to share that we won the 2021 Reed Award for Public Affairs Firm of the Year.
Winners of the Reed Awards represent the best in the political campaign and advocacy industries. The Reed Awards & Conference is produced by Campaigns & Elections, the journal of the political campaign industry, and is named after Campaigns & Elections founder Stanley Foster Reed.
This is an incredible honor and a special acknowledgment of our team’s commitment to developing and executing challenging public affairs campaigns that drove meaningful results for our clients amid such a challenging year. This includes supporting essential initiatives such as Walmart’s COVID-19 voter education project and a campaign that resulted in Congress passing historic legislation that helped the American victims of the 1998 embassy bombings secure justice and hold the state sponsors of those acts of terror accountable.
This recognition comes on the heels of several recent accolades for Marathon’s public affairs work.
For the second year in a row, we were named a Public Affairs Agency of the Year by PRovoke Media and took home a PRovoke Innovation SABRE Award for our work with the Cannabis Information Project, a coalition of the nation’s top cannabis companies working to provide accurate information about the industry and keeping cannabis dispensaries open to patients and consumers amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In May, we won a Gold Pollie from the American Association of Political Consultants for our campaign on the Sudan Claims Resolution Act. And, Marathon was named to Ragan Communication’s Top Places to Work Class of 2021 as part of its annual Employee Communications Awards.
We’d like to thank Campaigns & Elections and the Reed Awards, as well as our clients for their partnership and trust in executing these vital public affairs campaigns.
