Cydney Hargis is a Senior Communications Associate at Marathon Strategies, where she focuses on corporate reputation management, media monitoring and intelligence, and crisis communications.
As a member of the Corporate Communications team, Cydney’s expertise includes executive communications campaigns, crisis management, issue campaigns, social listening, media intelligence research, media relations, and brand launches. Since joining Marathon Strategies in 2022, Cydney has worked with clients in a variety of sectors including transportation, public health, food safety, and health care as well as several non-profits and public policy coalitions.
Prior to Marathon, Cydney spent seven years at a media watchdog organization, researching and writing about public health. Cydney is based in Washington D.C, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from The George Washington University and her master’s degree in strategic communications from American University.
