Maggie Halley is Vice President at Marathon Strategies, where she specializes in strategic communications, media relations, and public affairs.
Before joining Marathon, Maggie served as communications director for public safety for New York State Governor Kathy Hochul, where she led statewide communications strategies across multiple agencies, including the New York State Police, the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, and the New York National Guard. Prior to joining the Governor’s office, Maggie was communications director for the New York City Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, leading messaging and media strategy on high-profile public safety and criminal justice initiatives.
Maggie began her career in journalism and spent more than a decade covering international elections and protest movements for The Washington Post. She holds a master’s degree in global affairs from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Smith College.
