Communications Associate

Mariana is a Communications Associate with experience across both public affairs and corporate communications at the New York State and national levels. Her work focuses primarily on helping clients engage in high-priority policy debates affecting diverse industries from energy to housing to connectivity and shaping public narratives around their priorities. With Mariana’s day-to-day work is focused around synthesizing and distilling news cycles, data, and policy developments into clear, persuasive materials for key stakeholders and media. Prior to joining Marathon, Mariana supported national public affairs advocacy campaigns focused on immigration and criminal justice reform. She holds a double B.A. in Digital and Print Journalism and International Studies, with a concentration in World Literature. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Mariana is trilingual, fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
