Nicole Bohrer-Kaplan
Account Director
Nicole Bohrer-Kaplan is an Account Director at Marathon, primarily focused on public affairs and media relations. Working with clients across nonprofit, education, tech, resource development, and other industries, she has designed and executed highly successful, short- and long-term communications campaigns, identified and secured strategic earned media placements, and elevated executive profiles through meaningful thought leadership.
Nicole has over a decade of experience in PR and communications. She came to Marathon from the global public health organization Vital Strategies, where she led PR strategy and provided full communications support to five programs as well as 35 member cities in the flagship Partnership for Healthy Cities initiative, and launched the Data for Health #CountingEveryone campaign. Previously, Nicole owned the North America and Africa communications portfolios at the innovative nonprofit 100 Resilient Cities—pioneered by The Rockefeller Foundation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University, a Master’s from The New School for Social Research, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Guatemalan highlands.
