Quint Forgey
Account Director
Quint Forgey is a seasoned communications professional, campaign operative, and former POLITICO reporter who works as a Director on Marathon Strategies’ Public Affairs team, helping drive and execute a range of communications initiatives for a diverse portfolio of corporate, nonprofit, and political clients.
Quint is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School, where he earned a Master in Public Policy and researched Democrats’ economic messaging toward young, working-class voters. During the 2024 election cycle, he managed campaign communications operations in the Lowcountry, the Midlands, and the Upstate of South Carolina — serving as communications director for two Democratic congressional nominees in the party’s first-in-the-nation primary state.
Quint previously worked as a reporter at POLITICO for several years, anchoring breaking news coverage for the global newsroom, co-launching its flagship national security newsletter, and reporting on politics and policy from Washington, D.C. He has been published in numerous media outlets, and his journalism has been cited in historically significant documents produced by the U.S. Congress.
A New Orleans native, Quint graduated from Louisiana State University, where he studied political communication and served two terms as editor in chief of the award-winning student newspaper, the Daily Reveille. He is now based in Brooklyn, New York.
